A sturdy barn for a new animal? A new schoolhouse?
As construction nears the end, the girls feel certain they will figure out Mom and Dad’s secret plans any day. But what they aren’t expecting are two secrets revealed that will change their lives and their family forever.
Does God really answer prayers? Rosie is faced with the challenging question of whether God hears her prayers. Not just the prayers of the world, but her prayers. As Rosie puts prayer to the test she thinks she finds the answer to her questions, until a friend turns everything upside down with a few seeds of doubt.
When tragedy strikes and Rosie desperately needs help, she’s faced with a decision she’s not ready to make yet: Faith, or doubt? Will she decide in time to prevent losing a precious treasure?
While friends moving away brings sad news to the family, Rosie, Michelle and Adee are inspired by their friends to look into renting a booth at the local Farmers Market to sell their goods. But… first they have to have goods! The three sisters put their heads together to plan their future business ideas.
When they finally make it to the Farmers Market with their first product, the girls are faced with angry accusations from the booth next to them . Will their booth neighbor put them out of business or will they find a way to make peace with them?

When the newest member of the family is born and the sisters have to wait anxiously for their parents return from the hospital, the true strength of family, the power of love and prayer, and the miracle of a new baby shine bright
Brian grew up in Central Texas and always had a love for reading. His love for knowledge and exploration made books like "The Boxcar Children" come alive for him, and after spending years studying computer coding, cheese making, brick laying, blacksmith, tree harvesting, hydroponics, and so much more, he decided he'd also create a Boxcar Children inspired series for his own children. So they can see the adventures of exploring their homestead through his eyes. And hopefully, just like him, never fully grow up.
In 2019, he had an opportunity to move his family to 3 acres in Central Texas, where he started homesteading and homeschooling. Quickly, the family ran out of space and wanted to move to more land, with East Texas offering this opportunity... In 2023, his family was blessed with the opportunity to purchase acreage with a home for their family to move to. "The Homestead Kids" begin their journey at that turning point. Imagining what could be possible, the family begins to explore and learn about their new property.
The family raises dairy cattle, sheep, goats, turkeys, egg hens, boiler chickens, rabbits and pigs on an ongoing basis, along with gardening. The family enjoys activities such as canning, sewing, crafting, building, soapmaking, cheesemaking and so much more. Moving to East Texas will afford the opportunity to cultivate these skills and share those with others.
Brian originally started creating bedtime stories about his kids, and being inspired by his daughters' reactions to those stories, he started writing, enlisted the help of a friend (Jeanette Poteet) and it grew into a book series that will be keepsakes for the family for years to come. With a goal of writing more books each year, the Combs' kids will have wonderful keepsakes to look back on. I hope the memories they make growing up homesteading are as heartwarming and memorable as the memories we have of them everyday.
